About Body Language Yoga
Discover the essence of Body Language Yoga, a sanctuary for self-discovery and mindful movement in the heart of New York. Learn about our unique approach to yoga and our commitment to creating a welcoming space for everyone.

Our story
Body Language Yoga began its journey in 2012 in Brooklyn, NY, with a simple yet profound intention: to allow the breath to speak through the body. We encourage our students to become quiet enough to understand what their bodies are saying, appreciating every cell, organ, and reflection of the human experience. We believe every body is a home for the spirit and should be cared for with reverence and love, regardless of shape, size, ability, or gender assignment. We are dedicated to creating a safe space for our practitioners to feel the entirety of who they are. Everyone is welcome, and everyone is included, no matter their background. We strive to be the translators and teachers, helping each student further understand their body's unique language.

What makes us different?
At Body Language Yoga, it's all about you. We want you to feel complete comfort and ease as you flow on the mat with us. You know your body better than anyone, and we encourage you to lean into that understanding during class. Take rest when you need to, grab water whenever you prefer; listening and tuning in to your needs is key. This personalized approach sets us apart, ensuring you feel supported and empowered in your yoga journey. We listen to what your body has to say.

Addressing your concerns
Many people think they need to be flexible to practice yoga, but that's far from the truth. Yoga is for anyone who has breath in their body. Here at Body Language Yoga, we'll ensure you feel right at home and can follow along with ease, regardless of your current fitness level or experience. We adapt our classes to suit all abilities, focusing on mindful movement and breath awareness.
